New York State Department of Health 2009 Performance ReportEvery year, all health plans in New York State are required to collect and submit a wide range of data to the Department of Health. The plans report on who their providers are and how they are paid; what kinds of services their members receive; how many members are receiving certain preventative services and other indicators of good care; and how satisfied members are with the health plan's quality of care and service (the Health Accountability Foundation's HMO Report Card is based on this QARR data).
